Wheel Pottery is the art of throwing round ceramic objects. Traditionally this art was practiced on manual potters-wheel, but these days we use modern electric equipment for the same.
Beginner Level 1
The basic course is designed to teach the basic essential techniques of wheel throwing; centering, opening, pulling, making cylinder and other basic shapes.
In this course I’ll also give you basic appreciation of pottery, different types of clay, techniques and glazing.
It is a perfect course for those who have not done pottery before and want to learn this new art.

What’s included: All material, tools will be provided at the studio. You are required to carry an apron and a towel along with you.
One article made by you will be fired and given as a part of the course.
Beginner Level 2
This course is designed for those who have completed the beginner course with me, or have a basic appreciation of wheel pottery – you should be comfortable in throwing a cylinder shape without any assistance.
In this course you will be perfecting the art of throwing basic shapes, and finishing techniques like turning and trimming. We will also cover new shapes like tea pot, handi with a lid, flask with long neck (surahi), candle stand etc. In this 30 hrs course we will learn the art of making at least 7-8 different shapes.

You can carry 7-8 pieces that you make in the course. I’ll fire and glaze 3 pieces for you in this course. You can get more pieces fired and glazed on a chargeable basis.
