Handbuilding is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools.
Beginner Course

In this course we will start with the basic acquaintance of pottery, understanding clay as a medium and then moving on to various hand building techniques. We will learn all the three techniques of hand building; pinching (use of hands to press clay), coiling (convert clay into coil and then into objects) & slab work (convert clay into slabs and then into objects).

What’s included: All material, tools will be provided at the studio. You are required to carry an apron and a towel along with you. The fee includes clay (stoneware clay), use of tools, firing of 2 pieces.
You can get more pieces fired and glazed on a chargeable basis.
Advance Course

The course is designed to take your Handbuilding skills to the next level. We will cover more complex forms using stone ware clay like mug, dinner dish, and vase.
You get to make a total of 6 shapes including 3 of your choice.

What’s included: All material, tools will be provided at the studio. You are required to carry an apron and a towel along with you.
You can carry 4-5 pieces that you make in the course. I’ll fire and glaze 2 pieces for you in this course. You can get more pieces fired and glazed on a chargeable basis.

**Registration and payment is required to secure a spot in class
** Each student will have to select one time slot which is not exchangeable
